Thank You East Side BR Businesses

Representatives from businesses on the east side of Big Rapids and local charity groups met on Tuesday to distribute donations collected from the East Side Businesses Open House and Charity Drive. The event was held Dec. 7 to draw attention to the numerous businesses on the east side of the city. Twenty-two businesses spent the evening explaining their services to guests and collecting donations to support Operation People Assisting Crisis Teens (PACT), Angels of Action and Women’s Information Service, Inc. (WISE). The event collected $350 and an array of donations which were dispersed evenly among the charities. “The event was a success in drawing attention to the businesses and collecting donations,” said Angela Ayling, event organizer.
